Yesterday we gave a preview of our upcoming color changing Pixie Dust on our social media accounts. Now we want to take the time to tell you more about it and how it came to be!
In this day there are many who craft bath products and it can be hard to get your product to standout. The solid bubble bath was made popular by mega bath craft company Lush and soon after others caught on to the fun and began creating their own. Pea Pod Pixie was different. We simply opted to call our product bubble crumbles as opposed to bars. Then we got people who were not found of crumbling the bubble bars and hot running water. We decided to try our hand at making a bubble powder, not a new idea but new to us, and we got great feedback on the results. Save for around Christmas we stuck with keeping our Pixie Dust white so if you paired it with a bath bomb the colors from that would shine more. Then we got an idea while making sorting bath bombs for our Harry Potter inspired bath line. What if we could make Pixie Dust that appeared white when dry but would change the water color on contact? It was a fun and interesting journey trying to find the right ingredients to make this happen.
We finally had a successful creation with our Lucky Potion (Felix Felicis). This item and more will be arrive to our online shop this spring/summer and we can't wait to find out what you all think of it!
